Common economic issues are within the the large majority of key factors participating to homelessness. These include the lack of affordable housing, poverty, lack of employment opportunities, and low wages. 

Non-economic factors can additionally contribute in homelessness. These include psychological or physical disabilities, acquiring disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, medical conditions, drug and alcohol dependence, a history of childhood abuse, sexual abuse, or several mixture of these. Domestic abuse, for example, is the main bring on of homelessness amongst women, and an outrageous 84% of homeless women have encountered severe physical or sexual abuse at several point in their lives.

Our decentralized app or Dapp called “GVR” was created as first step of action towards the integration of the homeless population into society. GVR provides a safe and easy way to give financial assistance and  the ability to purchase foods and goods that every human should have access to, all while restricting the ability to access cash, or purchase alcohol, drugs or weapons. This new system provides a “give-ability” that ensures both users will experience a safe and contactless helping hand.

The City

Effectus, USA

Global issues such as homelessness and the hunger crisis are incentivizing ambitions for a new generation of high-tech cities. Our masterplan is to develop “Effectus” a futuristic urban center to be designed with a focus on sustainability. The first Decentralized autonymous ecosystem or (DAE) where nature and city are intertwined and act as one organism. Effectus is an alternative to the traditional urban layout and a model for nature preservation and enhanced human livability set to be built from scratch on an undisclosed site in the US.

Effectus will be one of the most sustainable cities in the world. Part of Meteffects vision is that the land will be owned by a community endowment, meaning increases in value could fund the city’s development with eradicating homelessness as the top priority. The homeless will migrate to the center from every corner and city in the US to become residents of Effectus.

As new residents arrive in  Effectus, they will be accommodated and integrated into the Decentralized autonomous ecosystem (DAE) which includes healthcare, education, and employment opportunities. All residents will be connected by an autonomous transport network with no cars. Buildings will be mainly constructed using a combination of recycled materials, with an ecological buffer around each district to support biodiversity and incorporate the latest technologies that are currently being developed in the US. Effectus will contain millions of carbon-absorbing plants and trees across hundreds of hectares. It will be designed to house up to one million homeless people in affordable, plant-covered homes and aims to pioneer a more sustainable way of city living.

With Effectus we intend to transform domestic manufacturing through extensive use of fibre optics, drones and autonomous vehicles, with development decisions based on big data and unique partnerships with manufacturers. We aim to balance new technologies with the existing agrarian setting, providing the homeless with a new opportunity to integrate with society, have a purpose, and share a community where people earn a living, they can bank, vote, store data and provide for themselves and their families.
